BUG LIST FOR FIXING


THE TRADITIONAL LIST OF MILLER'S THINGS TO FIX - THIS IS A DYNAMIC POST THAT WILL CHANGE:

  • Experience is completely messed up. I have no idea why monsters are giving ridiculous amounts of experience in SOME areas - not all. Everything in the database looks right, and the code seems fine. This could be a plug-in issue. I'm going to let this one ride for a bit, because if all it means is that people gain experience faster, then that's fine.

COMPLETED AND PUBLISHED FIXES

  • I've been altering the audio files for music in the HTML5 version to drastically decrease the file size.
  • Web version is up and not crashing, which is great, but it required graphical and animation sacrifice. I was able to play through the game from start to the very, very end with no major problems.
  • Bone Dungeon had incorrect collision against one wall. Not game breaking, thankfully, but it is annoying. It's fixed. 2/25/2023
  • Totally had Tristam's weapon named the wrong thing in the HTML5 version. Fixed. 2/25/2023
  • Some attacks, starting around the Falls Basin area, were programmed to hit twice. Their base info was copied from the "Double Kick" Centaur attack, and I did not change the number of repeating hits. This mainly affected Centaurs, Squids, and Desert Hags. 2/25/2023
  • Ice Pyramid F4 had a glass wall that was able to be jumped through. Fixed. 2/25/2023
  • Ice Pyramid B1 will have Ice Golem appear on bottom level even if he has already been talked to. Fixed. 2/25/2023
  • Typos (one typo resulted in a coding error that I caught by chance) in the Battle Axe Seller's house in Fireburg. Fixed. 2/25/2023
  • Completely missed adding the chest to the lower-right section of Fireburg. Fixed. 2/25/2023
  • Major game breaking bug found. One of the doorways in Focus Tower takes you to an unmapped location. An immediate fix was needed and published. Also added a way to get back in case anyone saved there. 2/25/2023
  • Problem in the Lava Dome - I couldn't throw Mega Grenades across lava in the ONE place it is required. Fixed. 2/25/2023
  • After fixing the above problem, I landed on the other side and was teleported somewhere totally different thanks to my terrible coding skills. Fixed now. 2/25/2023
  • Found a Ghost in the Giant Tree F1 that is programmed wrong. It doesn't clear the space when dead. There may be more. Fixed the one but checking the rest. --- 3 seconds later --- Yup. There are more. This is a game breaking glitch and requires and immediate update. 2/26/2023
  • There's a particularly annoying single square that blocks players from getting the Meteor Spell. Because of course it would. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • Battlefields 17-20 were set to display the results of Battlefield 16. They all worked as intended, but the display just wasn't correct. Far from game breaking. But, it is fixed. 2/26/2023
  • Slight adjustment made to the innkeeper in Windia. I didn't like his Y positioning. Now he looks like a proper innkeeper. 2/26/2023
  • Wind continued to blow when leaving Windia. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • WHOA. Something with the Dullahan boss went very wrong. His Headoomerang ability was programmed as a Magical rather than a Physical attack, which meant thanks to calculations, it did about 2,200 HP damage to each character and was a guaranteed party wipe if it hits both. Not game breaking... it's possible he never uses it, but I'm not taking chances so I'm publishing. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • Typo in post-Mount Gale Meme Mode Otto conversation. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • It's always the big-ticket items that have problems. Excalibur has a sign error in the code, which means you cannot get the sword unless you had the Steel Sword. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • Thanatos has a boss collapse effect. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • Bug involving the Gaia Armor. Can't say more. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • Found a pesky little Cereberus in Doom Castle that will not disappear when defeated. Game breaking. Have to publish right away on this one. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • Zuh fight had an error. Cannot detail more without spoilers. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • Not sure why this happens like this in clusters, but Zuh's Sky Attack is utterly ridiculous. Fixed to correct formula. What a train wreck. 2/26/2023
  • A boss had a glitch. Fixed. 2/26/2023
  • The ending scene had code that only works on PC and MAC. I edited the HTML5 version to make things work a little better. Hopefully it doesn't crash. Actually, that would be okay if it did, too. EDIT: It does crash, but that's okay. That's effectively THE END. I'll fix that later and make a proper "THE END" for the Meme ending. EDIT AGAIN: Fixed it anyway. It was quick. 2/26/2023
  • Tools were glitched in one significant area. Was game breaking, kinda. Fixed. 2/27/2023
  • Changed the balance on one seriously obnoxious fight. Fixed. 2/27/2023
  • Wow. I broke it pretty good. Implementing a fix that should fix everything with combat if my janky self broke it. 2/27/2023
  • Fixed using Cure on the Dark King. It now does ridiculous damage. 2/27/2023
  • Fixed a graphical issue with a boss. 2/27/2023
  • Still have a bug with getting the Meteor spell. This thing is the simplest thing, but still frustrating me. Again, not game breaking, but still annoying. Should be fixed. 2/27/2023
  • SURPRISE! I was able to get the HUD graphics back into the system without increasing the file amount too much. This makes me so happy. 2/27/2023
