It is time to make the world safe... again.

Become a hero on a quest for Jeweled MacGuffins, filled with better gameplay than last time, minimal stock graphics, hastily edited sprite work, and a story familiar to tens and tens of people.

(This is kind of a remake of Fystic Quest.)

Real-Talk Features

  • No attempts to be clever in terms of gameplay.
  • Poor (but better working) attempts to keep puzzles as vanilla as possible.
  • Many "clever" updates.
  • Still no try-hard areas.
  • No balancing but much more accurate mechanics.
  • Certified Prime marbling score by the USDA.
  • A few RTP graphics kept only for nostalgia!
  • A direct 1-to-1 philosophy.
  • Toggleable dialog between "Memes" and "Normal" - still two completely different stories in one game.  The "Meme Story" is default, and in my humble opinion, much better.

The Inevitable Questions

1. Why did you make THIS game? Because I needed to burn time between this and my other active project which is on technical hold as I wait. And, I have a much better handle on the engine and knew I could do this project better than last time.

2. Is this a remake? Seriously?  It's in the title.

3. Anything different? Yes, lots. And, no. But also, yes.

4. Is this a remaster? Only of my first completed original project, and that one could be considered a "demake" or "demaster." So, riddle me this... what do call a remaster of a demaster still potentially worse as a derivative of an original?

5. So, what has been remade? The entire game has been updated to a newer engine to start. In terms of new stuff, there are movies, achievements, cheat codes, lighting improvements, battle specificity, graphics, dialog and typo fixes, quality of life updates, widescreen, and, if you can believe it, the code is about half the length of the original. And more. You have to say that, but in this case, it's really true.

6. When will it be finished? It is out now. Go ahead and play it. It's free.

7. Is there a better Q&A I can consult? Dev commentary on many scenes incoming using an in-game code. It'll be part of the first update.

8. Is this for sale? Nah, you can have it for free.

9. Why'd you pick light blue for the sidebars? Repeating a meme in a different way.

10. What sidebars? Turn your phone to landscape mode.

11. Will you update the game? Yes. This game was much better designed, and I have a much better handle on the engine, and included the potential for updates.
